The CIMB Malaysian Open Squash Championships is one of two major international squash events held annually in Malaysia. The other being the KL Open. In 2006, CIMB came on board as the title sponsor raising the status and profile of the Championship. It continued to grow in size and stature and is presently registered as an International 50 event with a prize money of USD50K on the Men's Tour (PSA) and registered as a World Series Gold 60 event with a prize money of USD60K on the Women's Tour (WSA).
