Since making its entrance in the national tourism calendar back in 2007, this surfing competition has never ceased to draw the crowds from all over. It is set against the horizon of the ever-enchanting Cherating beach and towering waves that are seasonal towards year end/beginning. Competition categories include children and masters-level while surfing clinics are also organised by professional surfing clubs. A tri-state circuit of the competition is also on the pipeline for the Malaysian states of Terengganu, Pahang and Johor.
