Port Dickson Beach

Port Dickson has always been a perennial attraction for locals in need of a convenient holiday spot. Fondly referred to as 'PD', this quiet coastal town is located just 32 kilometres away from Seremban and 80 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur.

A very accessible seaside destination, it is the nearest beach destination for folks from the Klang Valley and a popular weekend retreat for city dwellers.

Port Dickson is said to have been named after a British officer, Sir John Frederik Dickson in 1889. Others contend that it was named after another British officer who supervised the British ports handling ore in Lukut, a district of Port Dickson at the time.

There are also various types of accommodation for those wishing to holiday here.

Popular beaches here are Teluk Kemang and Blue Lagoon, both are great water sports and beach activities.
