From small limestone hills and crags to mountains with sandstone or granite walls, Malaysia’s various landscapes provides all levels of difficulty for rock climbing.

Due to the hot and humid tropical weather, rock climbers must be physically fit and able to endure such harsh extremes. Rock faces especially limestone, dry fairly quickly even after heavy rain. Although there are many rock climbing sites in Malaysia such as Batu Caves, Bukit Takun, limestone caves in Perlis, Kelantan and Pahang as well as Mulu Caves and Mount Kinabalu, there are still many untapped or undiscovered climbing sites.
