Perdana Botanical Garden




The Perdana Botanical Garden, formerly known as Taman Tasik Perdana or Lake Gardens, is situated at the Heritage Park in Kuala Lumpur. As the oldest and most popular park in Kuala Lumpur, it lies just on the edge of the city, where formerly, the British elite built their fine homes in colonial times.

Originally created as part of a recreational park and subsequently planted with tropical plants, the garden have been rehabilitated and turned into a botanical garden.

Today, its landscaped hills and beautiful trails provide a respite for city dwellers. Its main attraction is its lake surrounded by lush greenery in a 92 hectares (227 acres) parkland.

Roam through the aviaries at the Bird Park and Butterfly Park. Or take a stroll through the beautiful Deer Park and Orchid Garden, all reachable by foot or by regular shuttle buses. Other nearby attractions include the National Monument, the Planetarium and the Islamic Museum.
