Monkey Tops Safari is located about 100 km south of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and accessible by highway. It is part of the state's project to promote eco-tourism and the preservation of the region's wildlife.
The birth of this lodge is in response to the growing demands for ‘back to basics' accommodation. Surrounded by lush forests and mangroves, a 10-metre observation tower on the property allows guests to enjoy stunning views of the tropical wetland and wildlife across the river banks.
The lodge's close proximity to the mangroves in the unique Klias Wetland Peninsula is best explored on a river cruise. Here, the mangrove's wildlife, including proboscis monkeys, long tail macaques as well as a wide range of tropical birds, such as storks, quails, kingfishers, green pigeons and herons make for exciting excursions.
