Desaru's beach is among the best in Johor. Many returning visitors agree that its white sandy beach is a sight to behold.
Desaru boasts 25km of inviting beachfront fringed by palms and casuarinas and dotted with rustic fishing villages. It lies in the southeastern corner of Johor, approximately 98km from Johor Bahru. The waters here are conducive for swimming, waterskiing, canoeing and catamaran sailing. A 18-hole golf course here commands magnificent views of the South China Sea.
In Desaru, there are lots of thrilling adventures such as an ultra-light aircraft flying or go-kart race. Other forms of recreation include jungle-trekking, horseback-riding, archery and off-road adventures. Accommodation like hotels, budget chalets, dormitories and camping grounds are aplenty here.
Be sure also to visit Tanjung Pengelih to see the relics of World War Two and historical relics of the Malay Johor Riau Empire at Johor Lama.
